How to Use the Library Scanner: Home

Computer LIB 15 has a scanner. This guide will walk you through how to use it.

Did you know we have a scanner upstairs in the library?  Do you avoid using it because you don't know how?  This guide will walk you through, step by step.   

Step 1

Lift the lid of the scanner and place the document you want to scan face down.

Click on the Windows icon in bottom left corner.

Then click on Devices and Printers.

Step 3

Click Preview, and make any changes you need in the highlighted areas below.

Then click Scan.

Step 2

On the Devices and Printers screen that pops up, find CanoScan.

Then right-click on the icon to get the scanner menu.

Select from the menu Start scan.

Step 4

The scanned images then need to be imported to the computer to save.  

You may tag the pictures, if desired, and then click Import.

Save the file(s) to your student H: drive or flash drive from here.
