How to evaluate periodical article author(s)

Consider the following:

What is his/her education level?

What is his/her career?

Is he/she well-published?

What is the author’s experience with the topic?

What is his/her point of view?

Where to find the information online

To evaluate the author of an article, follow the same steps outlined for the author of a book.

If you’re unable to find information about the author in the sources mentioned above, look at the article itself.  Sometimes at the beginning or end of the article there is a brief notation made as to the author’s academic affiliation and/or degrees.
