Introduction to College Research: Home

This guide is an introduction to BC libraries and college-level research. New students and Early College students will find this a great place to start.

Welcome

Grace Van Dyke Bird Library on Panorama Campus view from Haley Drive entrance

Grace Van Dyke Bird Library is an academic library. This means that we support the mission of the college and all of the students and faculty. We won't have all of the latest and greatest book titles, but we will carry the resources needed to complete your research assignments.

The Library’s mission is to contribute and to support the college mission by serving as an information and research center, and by providing direct and instructional support with a full range of timely information resources.

Visit one of the Bakersfield College campus libraries or contact us for assistance. You can email, call, or chat with a library staff member.
